The plugin is a container tag that makes setting up retargeting and conversion events easy. Instead of having to manually place a piece of script on your website for each conversion event you want to track or page you want to retarget, you just need to install a single piece of code.

Install The Plugin just like you would install any global tag, placing it within the universal <head> section of your website. We recommend you paste the plugin code at the bottom of the head section, just above the closing <head/> tag.

  1. Navigate to the 'Tags' section of the platform to access your plugin.

  2. Click 'Get plugin code'.

  3. Copy and paste in the universal <head> section of your website, above the closing <head/> tag. (This process will vary depending on your website.)

  4. Click 'Check plugin status' for validation:

Troubleshooting

If we aren't able to validate the plugin, here are some common issues for troubleshooting.

The plugin will not validate if it is placed within another type of container tag, like Google Tag Manager. It must be placed directly on the website.

Ensure the tag is placed within the <head><head> section. The plugin will not work if it's placed within the <body> of your website. To check this, start by visiting your live website that you've placed the plugin on. Right click > inspect, and look for the code within the <head><head>.

You can scroll through the content within underneath the <head> tag, or use the command search function (command F on mac) to quickly identify 'humming'.

Double check that you've copied and pasted the code 100% accurately. Even one digit off will not allow the plugin to validate.

Clear your cache. Sometimes browsers will not reflect changes you've made right away.
