What’s Geo-fencing?

Geofences are virtual geographic boundaries that recognize a smartphone in range. Geolocation services (like Google Earth) detect user’s locations and store this data. Humming can use this data to target customers who are traveling through a geofenced location and send an ad to them. To do this, we just need to know location address or coordinates. For instance, Humming can place a geofence around the store location for a competitor, and a user would see that ad when they are in the competitors store. We could geofence a concert venue, and ads would be seen by people on devices while they were at the concert. In some cases, we may be able to find out who was in that location or traveled through a location during a certain time period, and serve ads to those devices.
