Overview.

How do ads run on all those billboards and public displays? Creative can be a little tricky for Digital Out-of-Home. In this piece, we dive in helping any advertiser shape the best creative.

What Works Best?

Take into account a few factors that differentiate DOOH versus a streaming or display campaign. Consider color and dwell time - the amount of time a person in real life will be looking at your ad. If it's a busy road way versus being stuck in traffic, it's important to adjust the creative for how long a person may see an ad.

What file format is best?

  • JPEG works best, not a PNG

  • PSD files and your brand fonts

What are standard resolution sizes?

  • 9:16 – 1080x1920

  • 4:3 – 1280x960

  • 16:9 – 1920x1080

  • Poster – 840x400

  • Bulletin – 1400x400

Don't have these handy? We'll help automatically resize these. These will typically take five business days to format and distribute, so please plan each campaign accordingly.

What Doesn't Work:

  • The platform can't accept HTML5 ads for DOOH. Why? Some of the screens that ads run on can't fully process these formats.
